Assorted 2" Cacti ranging from Mammilaria to Cephalocereus.
Light: Bright, direct light.
Water: Water when the soil is 100% dry. You may notice the plant wrinkle or spines droop a bit. Cacti cannot go without water forever, but can tolerate long periods of drought.
Repotting: Repot into a nutrient rich, desert soil. Desert soil has more drainage than most potting mixes which allows it to be less moisture retentive. Terra cotta pots or unglazed clay pots are preferred for cacti to allow proper airflow and moisture loss.
Pet-Safe: Most are pet-safe, but the spines can harm pets.
Cactus species are currently experiencing increased vulnerability as their popularity rises; Today, approximately one-third of all cacti/succulent species are facing extinction. Many of these species are listed on the IUCN’s Red List as critically endangered. As part of our conservation efforts, we are donating $1 of all cactus sales to the IUCN Cactus and Succulent Specialist Group, indefinitely.
